8020-SCP-423 is a Model 400, 8K Ram Processor with a floating point that is manufactured by Square D. The scan speed for this processor is 0.7 milliseconds per K of Boolean logic and 2.9 milliseconds per K of nominal logic. The external I/O supports over 4,000 digital and over 3000 analog in any mix in groups of 4, 8, 16, or 32 digital points or 4, 8, or 16 analog points per module. The user memory utilization ia 1 word per contact, and the user memory overhead is 8 words.

The key-switch has four options: RUN/PROGRAM, RUN, HALT, and DISABLE OUTPUTS. In the RUN/PROGRAM mode, the processor executes the ladder program and allows the user to make changes to the program. In the RUN mode, no changes can be made, but the processor executes the ladder program. In the HALT mode, the processor does not execute the ladder program, and all outputs are turned off. In the DISABLE OUTPUTS mode, the processor executes the ladder program, but all outputs are turned off. The weight is 4.2 pounds. Without the key, the dimensions are 1.5 inches (width) x 12.8 inches (height) x 7.1 inches (depth). With the key, the depth is 8.1 inches. There are also two communication ports (RS-422). COMM 1 is for connecting programming and peripheral equipment, and COMM 2 is for connecting inter-processor communications, printers, ASCII devices, D-Log modules, etc. The battery access door on the processor, which allows for manual access to the battery.
