The Square D SY/MAX 8010-AXS-308 is an 8-button module access unit from the ACCESS4000 intelligent operator interface system. This remote module connects to ACCESS4000 data links, compatible with all system masters. Operator interface is key in the design of the unit, providing lighted switches for on/off or start/stop control options. A standard 120/240VAC 50/60Hz power supply provides 8010-AXS-308 with the necessary operational power.
User specifications determine the functionality of the eight push-buttons. Individually, each button is comprised of both a switch and lamp controlled separately. Lamps within each push-button have four states, only one of which can be selected at a time. These states include on, off, slow blink, and fast blink. Lamps can burn out, but are replaceable with part LMP-4905. The front panel of this access unit features three individual LEDs, with two more diagnostic LEDs on the rear. The front diagnostic LEDs include PWR, COMM, and ERR for simple interfacing. This compact access unit measures 14in (H) x 10in (W) x 6.75in (D).
Proper mounting and installation procedures are integral in persevering the integrity of the unit. A usable ground connection is secured through properly fastened mounting studs. Noise immunity and system operations are enhanced when a data link cable is securely routed. Be sure to place the module away from equipment that outputs sizable amounts of electrical noise as this can degrade the operation of the unit. Ambient temperatures of the operating facility housing 8010-AXS-308 should fall no lower than 32℉, or 0℃, and no higher than 140℉, or 60℃. When in storage the facility can range from -40℉ to 176℉, or -40℃ to 80℃. Be sure to refer to the installation and instruction bulletin for all safety and installation guidelines.
