The 8005-PR-4 is a Multi-Function Program Loader that was made to be a part of the Schneider Electric Square-D SY/MAX system of controller hardware.

The 8005-PR-4 is also known as a Model 50 Programmer. It is 350 mA and 9 VDCs. Programmer cable LCB-10 can be used to connect this unit to the CPU. This cable is sold separately from the 8005-PR-4. It has a 4K step program capacity. This unit can be used onsite or remotely.  This module can be used either online or offline. To use the 8005-PR-4 offline, it needs AC adapter ADP-10. It has the ability to use PROM programming. This programmer along with a processor and I/O modules have the ability to connect to and simulate inputs.

The 8005-PR-4 has a rectangular device that has many features. On the bottom of this module is an 8-pin power cord connection. On the right side of it is an 8-pin programmer cable connection. On the faceplate, it has a spot where a memory pack can be inserted. Only EPROM or E2PROM memory packs should be used with this unit. The 8005-PR-4 also features an audio cassette interface that has two jacks where a mic or earphone can be plugged in. Below that is a switch that can allow the device to be programmed or locked. Locking the unit will prevent it from being altered in any way.  There is a keypad and an LCD display. This module does not need to be mounted to anything. It can be a handheld unit.
