The 8005-MP-24 is an E2PROM Memory Module that was made by Schneider Electric Square-D. It is a part of the SY/MAX Class 8005 A1 series. This module has been discontinued by Square-D and no longer receives support. It may be difficult to locate, but AX Control makes every attempt to keep the 8005-MP-24 in stock.
The 8005-MP-24 is an optional upgrade 4k E2PROM or EEPROM module. The acronym EEPROM stands for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory. This type of memory system is considered to be non-volatile memory, keeping its stored data even when the module it is attached to loses power. It can store a small amount of data, but that data has the ability to be erased and then overwritten with new data. Unlike an EPROM, the EEPROM’s data can be erased using programming signals and it does not have to be removed from the device.
The 8005-MP-24 is a small rectangular box. It has a blue Square-D label with the words Memory Pack written on it. On top of the module, there is a small square opening on the module. On the bottom of the module is the black Square-D product label that has the product’s serial number on it. On the back of the module, there is a 36-pin male connection. In some cases, this module may have a low battery LED located on its faceplate.
