Product Description

The 8005-AN-108 is an AC Input Module by Square-D. It was created to be a part of the SY/MAX Class 8005 A-1 series.  

The 8005-AN-108 is 8-Function 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz (9mA per point at 100VAC). This device includes 8 optically isolated inputs with one common connection dedicated per every 8 points. It has a voltage range between 85 VAC to 132 VAC.  It has an input impedance of 12 K-ohms. It has a turn on time of 22 milliseconds at 100 VAC and a turn on voltage of 70 VAC. It has a turn off time of 30 milliseconds at 100 VAC and a turn off voltage of 40 VAC. It has an internal current draw that is a maximum of 40mA. It has a photocoupler isolation mode that is 1500 V RMS for 1 minute.

The 8005-AN-108 has the ability to be plugged into a processor unit, an expansion base, or into an expansion power supply unit. Two of these modules can be plugged into one of these containment units. This module is a small box that has LED indicators and an input terminal strip. The LEDs are numerically labeled 0-7 and correspond with the 0-7 terminal screws on the terminal strip. The LEDs will glow when there is something attached to its corresponding terminal. There are two holes on the top of the module on the right and left sides that can be used for mounting the module. There are also two small air vents on the top of the module.
