3050-EGW2 is an ethernet gateway that is manufactured by Square D. This POWERLOGIC ethernet gateway has 2 RS-485 parts which can support up to 128 devices. The input range is 100-264 VAC and 110-300 VDC. The frequency is 50/60 Hz, and the burden is up to 72 VA. this ethernet gateway offers improved system performance, TCP/IP and OSI protocols, manufacturing message specifications, easy configuration, gateway and network integrity, easy field upgrades, support for existing POWERLOGIC systems, and a system manager and client/server system.

The RS-485 ports on the gateway can be connected to another RS-485 port on the network interface module, making information from the SY/NET network available over Ethernet. Ethernet can be used as a high-speed backbone for the users of existing Square D networks. EGW2 is ideal for a system with many devices, and for migrating existing SY-NET-based on Modbus RTD-based networks to Ethernet. Included on this ethernet gateway is a UTP port, an AUI port, Comm LEDs, Comm ports, a control power inlet, an external fuse, a unit status LED, a setup port, and 5 ethernet LEDs.

The Transmit LED is a green light that indicates that a message is being transmitted on the ethernet network by the gateway. The Recieve LED is a green light that indicates that a message is being received from the ethernet network by the gateway. The Collision LED is a red light that indicates that a collision has been detected on the ethernet network. The UTP link is an orange light that indicates continuity in the UTP link. The UTP polarity is an orange light that indicates that the polarity is reversed in the UTP link.
