Product Description

The IOM-4444-20 is a PowerLogic I/O (Input/Output) module by Square D (Schneider Electric.) IOM-4444-20 has a total 8 lines in and 8 lines out. This includes 3 Form-C relays out and 1 KYZ pulse relay out. The KYZ pulse relay is a Form-C contact with a maximum rating of 96 mA. It is necessary for pulse initiator applications. Because the KYZ relay is solid-state, it provides extremely long life--billions of operations. The IOM-4444-20 can be used to detect breaker status, count motor starts, count pulses, as well as other mechanical applications.

The IOM-4444-20 is also designed with 4 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs. When coupled with a PowerLogic circuit monitor, this analog I/O allow for remote (external) control from a PC or circuit monitor (internal) control in response to set-point controlled alarm conditions or as a pulse initiator output. It is also worth noting that more than one alarm condition can be assigned to a single relay. With multiple analog I/Os available, the IOM-4444-20 can be used for:

• Setpoint controlled relay functions

• Alarm functions

• 2-wire pulse applications

• 3-wire pulse applications

• Relay functions

• Event logging

It is important to note each analog output must be thought of as its own 2-wire current loop. Each one must have an isolated and dedicated receiver. Equipment damage can result if this precaution is not observed.

The IOM-4444-20 mounts with seven screws. A relay diagram is located on the back of the module for reference. This module is for indoor use only, type one enclosure. The original manufacturer suggests installation by qualified personnel only.
