Product Description

3020-ECM-RM is an ethernet communications module in the Square D Power Logic line

produced by Schneider Electric. 3020-ECM-RM is a 10Base T Ethernet unit, and is

90 to 264 volts, 35 va, and 50/60 Hz. The 3020-ECM-RM is designed to receive,

transmit, and convert data over Ethernet using ModBus TCP/IP protocol to your PC.

The information can then be analyzed and monitored with System Manager Software.

The Power Logic gateways allow for power monitoring and information available over

both local existing networks as well as new wide networks. The 3020-ECM-RM can be

remote mounted when a circuit monitor has an on-board I/O module, or when a circuit

monitor is not present.

The 3020-ECM-RM communications module can be used in conjunction with other

Powerlogic parts to create a network for monitoring or gathering information from

remote sites.

The 3020-ECM-RM is mounted with two screws on the left side and one screw on the

right side. RS-485 data communications are wired as thus from the top edge of the

module: Green: IN+, White IN-, Red OUT+, Black OUT-, No Connection. There is a

five lighted panel on the front of the unit listed in order: Serial TX, Serial RX,

E-Net Act, Error, Link OK.

It is important to note that operation of this equipment in some residential areas

may cause unacceptable interference to radio and tv reception. If this occurs, the

installer will need to take whatever steps necessary to correct interference.
