The UVZ3030 is a Separate Type Inverter Unit for a Reliance Electric VZ3000 series AC Servo Drive.
The UVZ3030 is a class 200/400 V 3-phase 30 kW drive. It uses a 5 kHz carrier frequency instead of the standard 10 kHz. This drive is 230-357 VDC with 80 output amps @ class 200 V. It is also 460-715 VDC @ 400V. This drive has many different protection features including but not limited to overcurrent protection, PG failure protection, unit and motor heat protection, low or high voltage protection, and control power supply protection. When there is an instantaneous power loss, this drive has 5 selectable response methods.
The UVZ3030 should be installed into a control cabinet that is in an indoor location and only operated in temperatures between +14 to +131 degrees Fahrenheit. The humidity should be between 5-95% and be non-condensing. The cabinet environment should also be free from dangerous gas (corrosive and flammable), airborne materials, dust, oil mist, metal powder, and liquids.
The UVZ3030 has a front cover that is protecting the main circuit and control circuit terminal strips. Both strips have 6 terminals. The top strip’s terminals are labeled G(E), 603 (W), 602 (V), 601 (U), 145 (N), and 147 (P). The bottom terminal strip is labeled IP, RDY, 0VC, +VC, FR2, and FR1. It uses a DC brushless fan assembly to force air to the internal components within the drive. It weighs right around 16 kg and is 312 mm deep, 460 mm tall, and 176 mm wide.
