The UVZ-3037 is an Inverter Unit for a Reliance Electric VZ3000 System. This series of products may have been sold by Baldor Reliance or ABB at one point, but it is now discontinued. Even though this series has become a little difficult to find, AX Control does still try to keep the UVZ-3037 in stock.
The UVZ-3037 is 3-phase, 37 kW, and has a 200/400-volt class power supply. At 200 volts, it has a 240-350 VDC and 78-amp input and 92-amp, 0-120 Hz, and 0-230 VAC output. At 400 volts, it has an 80 amp and 460-700 VDC input with a 92-amp, 0-460 VAC, and 0-120 Hz output. It has a carrier frequency of 5 kHz. A 37 kW standard inertia VMGF403715 motor is recommended for this unit. It can overload for 1 minute at 150%. It uses SF-HM170BC basic software. It has a 9600 comm. baud rate.
The UVZ-3037 is a separate-type inverter unit that has a front cover that protects half of its faceplate. Under the front cover is a power display lamp, the main circuit terminal, and a control circuit terminal. Beside of the front cover are two PG input/output connections, a control signal connection, three communication connectors, a drop number dial, a seven-segment LED monitor indicator, and five small display lamps.
The UVZ-3037 is UL/C-UL listed. It is in a chassis-style enclosure that should be installed into a control cabinet setup. This unit should only be used in an indoor location that is free of dangerous gas (flammable and corrosive), dust, metal powder, other airborne contaminants, and water/condensation.
