The UAZ3255 is a Servo Drive Thyristor Unit in the VZ3000 Series by Reliance Electric.
The UAZ3255 is a class 200 V thyristor unit that has an input of 3-phase, 180/260 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and 350 amps. It has an output of 1-phase, 240-350 VDC, and 298 amps. It has a 5 kiloamp short circuit rating and is 55 kW.
The UAZ3255 is in a chassis type of enclosure. This chassis has holes and air circulation vents on it. It is not suitable for outside applications. When paired with other VZ3000 Series hardware, it should be installed into a control cabinet setup that is free of dust, liquids, air contaminants, direct sunlight, and combustible and corrosive gas.
The front cover of the chassis is removable by simply loosening the four screws that are located in each of the four corners on the cover. Once they are loose, the cover can then be slid up and removed. On the front of the chassis is a terminal strip with 8 terminal screws. There is also a series of indicator lamps that are labeled PWR, IP, OH, FAN, RST, RDY, RB, ROH, and TR. There are power terminals on the top of the chassis that are labeled R, S, and T that correspond with the indicator lamps. On the bottom of the chassis are three additional large terminals and a very large external fan assembly system.
