The 709504-A is a front-panel keypad membrane and display for the SP500 A/C Drive from Reliance Electric. This display is used to monitor, control and program the A/C drive. It can operate in program mode or monitor mode. When in program mode the user can examine the error log and adjust drive parameter values. When the panel is in monitor mode the user can monitor drive outputs and the drive’s speed reference. The panel keypad can also be used to stop the drive and reset the drive faults.
The 709504-A consists of a silver front panel with two side panels. Screw mounts are cut into the display on both the back top hat flanges as well as on two tabs above the panel. The front panel has a single green ribbon connector extending from the bottom edge of the panel.
The 709504-A includes a four-character, seven segment LED. The front panel has six membrane keys. These include UP and DOWN arrow keys, a Mode/Enter key, a Forward/Reverse key, a Start key (colored green,) and a Stop/Reset key (colored red.) When the Start key is pressed, the drive will accelerate to the last programmed frequency setpoint if there are no active faults. When the Stop key is pressed, the drive will ramp to rest at a user-defined rate or coast to rest. The panel also includes eight LEDs that display drive status or monitor mode. These are labeled Run, Program, Forward, Reverse, Remote, RPM, % Load, Volts, and Remote.
