Product Description

1SU21003 is a 3-phase SP500 drive manufactured by Reliance Electric. The drive, which has a horsepower rating of 3 HP, is enclosed in a NEMA 1 drive, size C. The AC input volts is 200-230 V. The power loss is 210 watts. The input is 12.5 amps and 5.0 KVA. The output is 10.6 amps. The NEMA 1 enclosure is vented and used for general-purpose indoor applications.

The AC power distribution system must meet the service conditions specified in table A.1 of the user manual. The drives must operate within the ambient temperature parameters of 38° to 104° F. The drives must be stored within the ambient temperature parameters of -40° to 149° F. The drives must operate at a non-condensing humidity between 5 and 95%. The drive is intended to operated at a factory-determined minimum speed unless and until it is disconnected from the power source. If the application requires zero speed operation without such disconnection, the user is responsible for assuring safe conditions, for operating personnel by providing suitable guards, audible or visual alarms, or other devices.

The controller nameplate, located on the base in the upper right side of the controller, includes the model number, the serial number, the KVA, the horsepower rating, the manual number, the AC input volts, the AC output volts, the maximum amps, the Hz, the PH, the short circuit SYM RMS rating, and the enclosure type. The nameplate identifies the specifications of the drives. Another way to identify drive specifications is to look at the part number, which tells the user the drive’s input volts, horsepower, and enclosure type.

What does the MODE/ENTER key on the keypad do?
On the 1SU21003 drive's built-in keypad, you can use the MODE/ENTER key for several applications. While in monitor mode, you can use it to advance through each monitor display item. When the drive is stopped, press this button to switch to program mode. When in program mode, the MODE/ENTER key can be used to display and save parameter values. Whether the control source is local or remote, the MODE/ENTER key will always provide these same functions on the 1SU21003 drive.

Use parameter F-20 (Password Lockout Enable) to set your parameter values to a password-protected mode. When the F-20 parameter is turned ON, people without the password will still be able to see parameter values but the parameter values cannot be modified from the keypad unless the correct password has been typed in to F-20. *Note: the factory password is always set to 257 and cannot be modified by the user.
