Reliance Electric SP500 1SU21002 drives do not have the same wire size as many other SP500 drives. 1SU21002 drives have a maximum power wire size of 12 AWG, 3 (mm^2). Most SP500 1SU1xxxx and 1SU2xxxx drives have a maximum wire size of 14 AWG, 2 (mm^2) so it is very important you make note of this before installing your 1SU21002 drive. The size input power of your 1SU21002 drive needs to be able to handle the drive's continuous-rated input current and the size output wiring of your 1SU21002 drive needs to be able to handle the drive's continuous-rated output current. The reason the 1SU21002 drive is a little different is because of its single-phase input.

To check your drive installation with the power off, you have to follow a few steps. First, make sure the input power is turned off, locked, and tagged on your 1SU21002 drive. If the drive had already been turned on, please wait five minutes to ensure it is all the way off. Next, check the DC bus potential with a voltmeter to ensure that the DC bus capacitors are discharged. Also, if you have installed an input disconnect, make sure that it is in the off position. Third, make sure that the drives interlocks are all operational and verify that the user-installed stop button is wired correctly. Fourth, remove any debris and make sure that there is proper clearance in the area surrounding the drive. Then, verify that the wiring to the control terminal strip and power terminals is correct and check to make sure you have followed all wiring requirement measures. Once all of this has been done to your 1SU21002 drive, disconnect any power correction capacitors connected between the drive and the motor. Then, check that any motor termal switch and the drive's electronic thermal overload are enabled, check to make sure the rating of the transformer matches the drive requirements, and verify that a properly-sized ground wire is installed and that a suitable earth ground is used. After all of these tasks have been fulfilled, you may uncouple the motor from any driven machinery to initially start the drive.

Next Day Air is the most frequently used overnight shipment option. It guarantees that your 1SU21002 drive will arrive by 10:30AM tomorrow. If you need it earlier than that, you can choose Next Day Air Early AM which has a guaranteed arrival time of 8:30AM. And, if you don't need it until the afternoon tomorrow, you can choose Next Day Air Saver which guarantees delivery by 3PM.
