About the 45C958
The 45C958 module was made by Reliance Electric to be a 24 VDC Input/Output module for the Shark XL series of rack-centered programmable controllers. This product is no longer being produced by the original manufacturer, since the Shark XL series is now deemed a legacy series, but the 45C958 24 VDC I/O module can still usually be purchased from AX Control.
For the device as a whole, the input current sinking is 9 mA. The input resistance when ON will be 300 Ohms or less and the input resistance when OFF will be 200 kiloOhms or more. The highest possible inrush current for this device is 3 A for every 20 milliseconds and the highest possible leakage current is 0.1 mA. As for the highest possible load current sourcing: one circuit equals 0.5 A, four circuits equals 1.25 A, and eight circuits equals 2.5 A. Lastly, the device is extremely quick, with the maximum output delay time for both ON to OFF and OFF to ON being only 1 millisecond.
