The K-261 is a Reliance Electric Contact Kit. This is an original manufacturer part that was originally offered directly from Reliance as a drop-in replacement part. Please note that due to organizational restructuring, your part may be labeled as Baldor-Reliance, ABB, or Asea Brown Boveri; these are typically the same as Reliance Electric and remain compatible with their original versions.
The K-261 contact kit is a 1-pole size 4-1/2, normally open contact kit. It is designed for 265 Amps of current. 4 ½ is the designated frame size. The kit includes a spring and three metal parts.
Contact kits like the K-261 are designed to be used on Reliance Electric Relays. In these relays, the latch unit is located in the space above the magnet in order to hold the relay in its energized state after the main operating magnet has been de-energized.
Because auxiliary contact kits are so small they are not typically supported as a repairable part and can only be replaced. Our stock is made up of new, never used surplus, or tested used parts.
