The 86471-S rectifier stack is designed to convert AC energy to DC energy so that the applicable controller it is connected to can use this energy and that it is manageable. The 86471-S rectifier stack has four capacitors and four diodes on the flat piece of metal on the bottom of the rectifier stack, with two of each on opposite sides. There are numerous wires attached to the 86471-S rectifier stack that are used to connect it to the rest of the controller module.
The 86471-S rectifier stack is specifically meant to be used in conjunction with Reliance Electric’s medium voltage controller modules. These medium voltage controller modules are available for system voltage ratings ranging from 2400 Volts to 6900 Volts and can be applied to motors that range in sizes from 75 kW to 7500 kW (10 HP to 10,000 HP).
