864660-47S Rectifier Stack
The 864660-47S is a Reliance Electric rectifier stack fabricated by the company to be used within several of its drive systems. It was also sold under the manufacturing names Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance. The 864660-47S has been discontinued and is no longer manufactured, but can be obtained from AX Control as a refurbished unit or as new-used stock.
The 864660-47S is built around a central metal carrier that connects all other rectifier components together. On either side of this carrier, there are two large heat sink components mounted in vertical positions. A small circuit board (51370-25) is mounted to each of the heat sinks using two screws threaded through factory-made drill holes. Each 51370-25 board is populated by resistors, diodes, terminal pins, and a transformer in a frame. There is a flexible underlayment between the circuit board and the heat sink. Additional components are mounted within the hollow base of the rectifier stack. This base is located below the heat sinks and the central carrier. Components located in different areas of the rectifier stack are connected to each other using red and white braided wires.
