86466-10S Assembly Rectifier Stack
The 86466-10S is a component manufactured by Reliance Electric that is designed to be used in the company’s drive systems. This rectifier stack was sometimes sold under the company names of ABB and Baldor-Reliance.
The 86466-10S is a large component (over 20 lbs) built on a flat horizontal carrier. Multiple standoffs are screw mounted to this carrier. These standoffs connect to four heat sink components that are mounted back to back in the component, separated by circuit board components. The center circuit board component extends down to the horizontal carrier. There is an additional (smaller) circuit board horizontally mounted below the right-most heat sink just above the bottom carrier. Components on these circuit boards are connected to each other and to components located elsewhere on the stacks via red and white braided wires or by black wires. These wires use a number of different connector ends, including terminal loops and stab-on (female) connectors. Additional components are mounted above the heat sink stacks, including two Ferraz Shawmut High-Speed Semiconductor fuses.
