An 805401-5R is a Rack Assembly made by Reliance Electric. Depending on what year it was made, this assembly may have been produced by ASEA BROWN BOVERI and/or Baldor Reliance. This assembly has been retired by the original manufacturers and can no longer be purchased from them. AX Control does offer the 805401-5R as a rebuilt or new surplus item.
The 805401-5R is an 8 Slot PMI Rack Assembly designed for the AutoMax Network Interface for a FlexPak 3000 DC Drive. It is also called an AC Power Module Interface Pack. It is a single GDI Module. It has an input rating of 115 VAC, 1.25 amps, and 50-60 Hz. The I/O has a 115 VAC and 2-amp rating. This assembly is a metal enclosure and has space for eight circuit boards. This assembly comes with a power supply and a spot for a large cooling fan.
The main purpose of the 805401-5R was to act as an enclosure for the AutoMax Network Interface. This interface was considered to be an optional kit. It was meant to facilitate communication between itself and a FlexPak 3000. The FlexPak could then monitor information about what the drive status was and it could then control and tune the drive based on that information.
Please refer to the FlexPak 3000 AutoMax Network Interface datasheets for more information about the setup requirements for the 805401-5R. only a trained professional should install anything into the 805401-5R. Make sure all power is disconnected from the 805401-5R as you are installing the circuit boards into the 8 slots provided by the assembly.
