About the 803.81.00
The 803.81.00 is an AutoMate 4 Slot Card Rack Assembly. This rack may have been also produced and sold by either ABB or Baldor Reliance. It is no longer being manufactured by any of these companies, but AX Control tries to keep it in stock as either a reconditioned or new liquidated stock part.
The 803.81.00 is a full four-slot rack system. The metal chassis is connected to a circuit board that acts as a rack backplane. There are a total of 4 female pin connections that are positioned horizontally parallel to each other on the backplane. On the inside of the chassis are 8 card mounting guides that help to line up the cards inserted into the rack and keep them steady while in the rack. There are factory drilled holes on the top and bottom sides of the rack. On the bottom of the PCB backplane are two green terminal strips that are not protected by the chassis. There is an additional single terminal strip on the top side of the PCB. Also, on the PCB are many electrical pathways that allow electricity to travel between the board components. There are brackets on the backside of the rack so that it can be attached to a mounting surface. A power supply does not come with this rack, one must be installed into one of the slots on the rack.
