The 78177-2y is designed as two metal plates connected across an air gap to allow for maximum heat disbursement. It has curved mounting bracket on the bottom of it. This unit’s main function is to convert AC power to DC power. This is typically preferred because the DC current is much easier to handle. This stack is made up of copper/selenium oxide plating. There is a gate coupling card attached to it.
