Designed and distributed by Reliance Electric to be a part of their DC contactors, the 78094-30R module is typically available in AX Control’s stock. AX Control makes this effort despite the fact that the original manufacturer no longer has this product in their stock or offers support for it.
The 78094-30R DC contactor is a 1-pole contactor that has power capabilities of 265 Amps and 600 VDC. The Reliance Electric DC contactors are all made to fulfill numerous purposes. First, they are capable of fulfilling different contactor roles, such as accelerating, reversing, and main line functions. These functions are all used in conjunction with DC controllers and motor starters. In addition to that, the Reliance Electric DC contactors are capable of other applications, such as resistive heating and battery loads.
Reliance Electric DC contactors, including the 78094-30R DC contactor, are all powered by solenoids. Solenoids are a type of cylindrical coils of wires that act as an electromagnet whenever they need to carry an electrical current. Solenoids are powerful, and the inclusion of one in each Reliance Electric DC contactor is important because it enables them to have a long life of consistently fast power.
In addition to the solenoid, the Reliance Electric DC contactors were created with ease of use in mind. This is shown in the location of the terminals, which are located at the front of the device, making them ideal for wire channel layouts and straight-through wiring.
