The 78091-R Motor Starter Contactor is compatible with Reliance Electric motors. The 78091-R module has ratings of 56 Amps, 600 VDC, and 100 to 200 VAC. Before you order this product, check the documentation of your Reliance Electric motor to ensure that the 78091-R module is compatible.
When installing the motor itself, there are numerous steps you must take to ensure that it will work properly and safely. Prior to installation, be sure to inspect all parts of the motor, including the starter contactor, the drive train that is connected, and the spindle motor. Along with this inspection, check that the furnished blower motor is connected and that the furnished filter is properly installed. If neither of these parts are furnished, then this step can be skipped. You will need to remove the motor covers and ensure that the brushes are able to move freely, without any hindrance, inside their holders, are secure, and are in contact with the communicator. Lastly, it is necessary to check that the connections, especially the connections that are made to armature and field conductors, are tight and properly insulated.
