The 76624-R auxiliary contact is marked as N.O., which stands for Normally Open. When an auxiliary contact is normally open, that means that it will not conduct electricity unless the contacts are closed together, which will complete the circuit.
The 76624-R auxiliary contact can be installed onto each side of a Reliance Electric motor starter, allowing a maximum of four auxiliary contacts at once. Should you have the side mounting kit by Reliance Electric, then you have the ability to place four additional auxiliary contacts to the motor starter.
When you are installing the 76624-R auxiliary contact, you will need to ensure that your environment does not have any debris, dust, or oils present in the installation area.
