The 76624-N module is an N.C. auxiliary contact, which stands for Normally Closed. An auxiliary contact that is normally closed means that any physical changes that occur to the 76624-N auxiliary contact will complete a circuit, which allows energy to pass through it.
The 76624-N auxiliary contact may be installed to one of the four sides of a Reliance Electric motor starter, allowing for four auxiliary contacts to be installed at once. If you have a Reliance Electric side mounting kit, then you will be able to add four more auxiliary contacts to the motor starter.
Before installing the 76624-N auxiliary contact, be sure that the environment does not have any oils, debris, or dust present. Also, the air needs to be free of any gases that could pose a threat to the device’s structural integrity. If you are installing the 76624-N auxiliary contact to a Reliance Electric contactor module, be sure to ensure that you have enough space for it. Each auxiliary contact will add .5 inches to the contactor width. If you do not have enough space to accommodate this on the available side(s), the contactor must be moved.
