705330-031R VSX Field Supply Rectifier
The 705330-031R VSX is a Reliance Electric drive component that is used in Reliance drives or their auxiliary systems, typically variable speed drives like the MaxPakPlus. The 705330-031R VSX was sold by Reliance under their company name, but also distributed under manufacturing names ABB and Baldor Reliance. The 705330-031R VSX is Field Supply Rectifier. It is composed of two metal carriers and their components, connected by three wires. The first metal carrier is the smaller of the two and is populated by two fuses (F1 and F2) and two stab-on connectors with wired connections. The carrier has a factory-made drill hole located in its center to allow wires access through its center. The second carrier also has several wired connection points, as well as three diodes and three metal oxide varistors. The varistors function as surge suppressors for the diodes. The arrangement of diodes on the carrier allows for the generation of 150 to 300 VDC power from 230/460 VAC inputs.
