A 701819-207BA is a Thyristor Module Phase Control rendered by Reliance Electric. This phase control could’ve been sold as Baldor Reliance or Asea Brown Boveri parts depending on what years it was in production.
The 701819-207BA is also called an SCR Diode (Silicon-Controlled Rectifier Diode or Semiconductor Controlled Rectifier Diode). SCRs are unidirectional and can only conduct current in one direction. They can only be triggered when currents are going through the gate.
The 701819-207BA was a replacement part was created to go in a GV3000/SE Reliance Electric AC Drive. It is made specifically to go in a 200-400 HP Drive. It offers a 500 amp and 1600 volt Thyristor Module phase control. For each system configuration, you need three 701819-207BAs.
This diode is designed with a tray-like carrier base with a screw-mount drilled in each corner. Above this are internal and external components. External components include three male connection terminals, located along the top of the unit. Please note that proper connections should be made to these terminals to protect the integrity of this unit. Do not over or under tighten them.
