The 608833-1V is a contact kit designed for Reliance Electric contactors. This contact kit helps to extend the life of various contactors within Reliance’s line of components. Depending on the year of manufacture, some Reliance parts may have sold under the company names Asea Brown Boveri, ABB, or Baldor Reliance. However, these are typically the same parts with no compatibility issues. Many of these parts are now in legacy status and are no longer available from the OEM. They are, however, available through AX Control.
The 608833-1V is a small kit weighing in at approximately 0.61 pounds. The kit is composed of six threaded screws, three springs, as well as movable and stationary contacts. These kits are typically designed for easy installation. A single kit can be attached to one side of a starter to provide up to four contacts. The spring load terminals offer fast load connection and reduce starter wiring time.
