The 604.42.10 is a Reliance Electric Drive Screen. This is also known as a Drive Configuration Module or DCM. This is used with Reliance’s FlexPak 3000 series. While components like this one are no longer available through the original equipment manufacturer or its associated companies under different names such as Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance, this and other FlexPak 3000 parts are typically readily available within AX Control’s on-hand inventory as new surplus or reconditioned parts.
When replacing the 604.42.10 unit, the user typically will usually need tools like a #1 Phillips-head screwdriver, a #2 Phillips-head screwdriver, and an M7 Hex wrench. A socket wrench can also be used if you don’t have the proper Hex wrench available.
The entire assembly should be removed from the associated drive before replacement. Once the unit is removed, connections can be changed over from jumpers on the regulator board to the grounding screw on the DCM mounting plate. Additionally, the communication cable on the DCM assembly can be connected to the regulator board. It is important that you check to make sure this cable is locked in place before reinstalling the drive.
