The 402410-E unit is an auxiliary contact block accessory that was designed by Reliance Electric. This accessory does not have any presence in Reliance Electric’s stock and can be difficult to find, but AX Control may have it in stock. Call or email today to speak to a representative and check on its availability.

Specifically, the 402410-E accessory is a small silver angled bracket with a rounded edge and a hole that is drilled into the flat edge. This accessory is designed to secure an auxiliary contact block to whatever it is being attached to. 

All of auxiliary contact blocks that are available from Reliance Electric can be used with either N.C. or N.O. contacts. An N.C. contact is one that is Normally Closed, meaning that it allows current to run through when the device is not energized. An N.O contact, on the other hand, is one that is Normally Open, meaning that it is unable to conduct any electricity unless the contacts are closed, which will in turn complete the circuit. 

The auxiliary contacts are designed to be placed into any of the Reliance Electric motor starters’ four sides for a maximum of four auxiliary contacts at any single time. If you can find or already have a side mounting kit that is offered by Reliance Electric, you will have the ability to add an additional four auxiliary contacts, totaling eight auxiliary contacts at any single time.

Be sure that the place where you are placing the auxiliary contact in is clean and clear of any debris. Also, be sure that the atmosphere around the auxiliary contact has no gases that could harm it or disrupt with its functions.
