The function of the Auxiliary M-Contactor is to enable the user to interlink the on/off status of a single-phase FlexPak Plus or MinPak Plus DC drive that has been provided with devices. Single pair Form C contacts in which one is usually open and one is usually closed and presented by the M-contactor. Both the form C contacts have the same terminal, marked as terminal 41, which is split into two: terminal 43, which is usually the open contact, and terminal 42 which is usually the closed contact. They function as a two-way forward/reverse drive.

The drive system has multiple applications which include alarms, pilot and indicator lights, and interlinks with other control circuits. The wiring to these external devices are provided by the user and the wires should not exceed AWG 14. Wiring also depends on the application itself.

The Auxiliary M-contactor is a printed circuit board with a contactor, an attached wire harness, and a terminal strip. The contactor is to be mounted on the auxiliary mounting bracket of the drive. The part number 14C209 must be ordered independently for ¼ to 1-1/2 HP MinPak Plus Drives. The M-contactor kit contains the Auxiliary M-contactor itself and the instruction manual. Do not touch the connectors or components to the printed circuit board, as it contains static-sensitive components. Connectors should be stored in an anti-static bag when not installed.
