The Reliance Electric MinPak Plus Single-Phase D-C Controller 14C10 is a full-wave power converter without a back rectifier. It also comes with an analog current major loop for armature voltage or speed regulation by tachometer feedback.
The Controller is made up of a chassis and hinged enclosure, designed for wall or panel mounting. The enclosure can also be easily changed into a chassis-only type configuration to allow for panel mounting within a large electrical enclosure. On the larger enclosure’s face, or some distance away, an optical remote control station can then be placed. Each chassis has a single POWER ON/OFF circuit breaker and is separate from the cover and faceplate. It is necessary to use an Operator’s Station to ensure proper operation of the Controller. In this way, modifications to be done to the control functions for the application.
On the front cover of the Controller, you can find the nameplate which describes information about the Controller. You can find things such as the model number, applicable A-C input power and D-C output power data. The Reliance Electric MinPak Plus Single-Phase D-C Controller enclosure uses the 14C10 Chassis. It has a rating of 0.75 HP, 115 Volts of AC Input with 10.5 max Amps, 50/60 Hertz, a DC output of 90 Volts at 7.5 max Amps. This particular D-C controller has a rating of 1000 Amps power supply capacity.
