6MDDN-2P3102 is a 380-480 VAC 3-phase input, 0-460 V 3-phase output MD65 drive that is manufactured by Reliance Electric. This drive outputs 0.75 kW (1.0 HP) and 2.3 amps. The input voltage range is 340-528, the input kVA is 2.3, and the input amps are 3.2. The branch circuit protection is 6 for the fuses and 10 for the circuit breaker. The power dissipation is 40 watts. One option for the drive is the PROFIBUS communications module.

The components of the PROFIBUS communications module are the status indicators, the MDI connector, the PROFIBUS connector, the node address switches / firmware update switches, the mode jumper (J2), and the SWAP jumper (J3). The required equipment for this module includes one floppy disc with a GSD file, one grounding wrist strap, a 1 inch and a 5 inch internal interface cable, an MDCOMM-PBUS PROFIBUS module, and a user manual. The required user-supplied equipment includes a small flathead screwdriver, a PROFIBUS cable, one 9-pin, male D-sub PROFIBUS connector, a configuration tool such as VS Utilities with an MDCOMM-232 serial converter, PROFIBUS configuration software, and controller configuration software.

There are four fault codes on the module. Fault code 51 is the “MDI port watchdog” fault. Fault code 52 is the “PROFIBUS network loss” fault. Fault code 53 is the “not compatible product” fault. Fault code 54 is the “MDI time-out or additional MDI master connected” fault. There are also a number of message response faults on the module. Fault number 101 is the “service not supported” fault. Fault number 102 is the “service not valid” fault. Fault number 104 is the “parameter does not exist” fault. Fault number 106 is the “data value out of range” fault. Finally, fault number 107 is the “state conflict” fault.
