The 8C10 is a part of the Reliance Electric Impak Plus series. This panel features a small power switch on top of the controller. In the center of the controller is a black dial that ranges from zero to ten (0-10). Below the dial is another switch. On the left side of the switch is a green block that says START and on the right side on the switch is a red block that says STOP. This control is meant to be installed as a panel or a wall mount and must be installed within ten degrees of vertical with the rear of the controller firmly bolted to the surface it is being mounted to. Do not install this drive horizontally. On the three unhinged sides, two inches of clearance must be left and remain unobstructed to allow for proper airflow through the heat sink to cool the controller. Also, do not install the controller in a corner, at least eight inches of space from the top and six inches of space from the bottom should be left in the cabinet to ensure the controller stays within its temperature range of zero to fifty-five degrees Celsius. To wire the controller once it is installed, it is very important to locate the ground point provided for this controller. Then you must run a suitable equipment grounding conductor unbroken from the controllers ground point to the plant ground. A ring lug is recommended at the ground point.
