The 5RK2 module was designed and manufactured by Reliance Electric to be a part of the HR500 series of both motors and servos. The 5RK2 module is described by the manufacturer as a Pulse Position Kit, which is an optional installable accessory that is able to be easily installed to an HR500 amplifier module.
Upon consulting the HR500 series manual, the 5RK2 Pulse Position Kit is used to connect to the HR500 regulator and enables an amplifier to use either a dual or single channel frequency output. These frequency outputs can be utilized by, for example, a motion controller in order to successfully shut a position loop or used can be used as a reference to another HR500 module. Please note that when the 5RK2 Pulse Position Kit is installed in an HR500 module, the 5RK1 Multi Function Kit cannot be used at the same time.
