This module is designated as a printed circuit board component intended for the Reliance Electric Ltd. series of motor controllers, the GV3000 line. This board is labeled as a HEC-GV3-P1B and was outfitted to operate as a DeviceNet Application Option Board.
The GV3000 line was developed by Reliance Electric Ltd, as a series of advanced motor control drives. These units are outfitted with a wide range of component parts, and the HEC-GV3-P1B is one of the circuit boards that can be installed into a GV3000 drive’s system.
The DeviceNet network is a high speed, twisted pair, power pair and shield network built to retrieve low-level input and output data. It is also able to configure and modify the operation of a remote node. The HEC-GV3-P1B is a device built by Horner Electric and was outfitted to connect the GV3000 drive to the DeviceNet network. Once installed, it notes the drive as a slave node on the network and is able to interface with other similar motor control drives connected to the system as well.
To successfully mount the HEC-GV3-P1B into the GV3000, then simply install it safely into the port below the unit’s regulator board, and connect it to the regulator by attaching a flexible ribbon cable to each board via the terminal strips.
