The GV3000U-AC023-AJ-DBT is a solid GV3000 series unit, but at times even the conscious owner will encounter a common fault in installation or operation of the drive. One such fault that owners of the GV3000U-AC023-AJ-DBT have experienced in the past is the High DC bus voltage fault, which is represented by the fault code HU on the drive’s interface. This fault is typically caused by a loss or initial lack of sufficient capacitor protection, or by the drive’s shortened deceleration time. If the cause of the fault is found to be an excessive DC bus voltage, the corrective action would be to check the voltage of the drive’s input line, and to add a transformer if deemed necessary. If the cause of the drive’s HU fault is determined to be a shortened deceleration time, then the true corrective action for the GV3000U-AC023-AJ-DBT drive owner would be to raise the deceleration time versus the maximum speed/Hz, and to install a DB option with resistors.
