This unit is designated as a model within the Reliance Electric series of motor control AC drives. This series is designed for lower voltage motor units. The GV3000 lineup was developed by the electromechanical division of Reliance Electric Ltd. and was built as one of their many units available.

The GV3000E-AC070-AA unit is outfitted with a series of regulations, the majority of them vector-based. There is the flux vector control setting and the sensorless vector control setting. The scalar voltage/hertz regulation is the general-purpose setting for motors. The GV3000 line has a line frequency that ranges between 50 to 60 hertz. 

The GV3000 is able to control and manage the motor’s speed and torque, and is able to provide several adjustments to the parameters, and has precise accuracy with the direction of the units. The speed of the unit is able to range from zero RPM to the motor’s maximum speed. The speed setpoint of the unit has a resolution of one RPM with a locally hooked-up keypad. The GV3000E-AC070-AA is outfitted with a torque control response, which ranges from 180 to 220 hertz.

This unit is protected with a NEMA 12 rated frame and is protected from any invasive particles, like dirt and water vapor.
