Several motor controller drives were designed, developed, and manufactured by the electromechanical automation division of Reliance Electric Ltd. They built several lines of motor control units, and this module is available from our inventory of both new and used industrial hardware.
The 896.16.81 unit is designated as GV3000 motor drive. These drives are outfitted to control motors via the vector based regulation setting installed into the unit. There is the Flux Vector Control, and then there is the Sensorless Vector Control. The 896.16.81 is able to provide dynamic response capabilities, and is able to manage a fully rated motor torque, at a zero speed rating. The drive is able to control the motor speed and direction due to the optimal accuracy capability. The 896.16.81 is able to provide this function both with and without the encoder feedback.
The 896.16.81 unit also has a general purpose regulation, which is the volts/hertz regulation, and is suited for the broad range of applications that requires adjustable speed control of the motors.
The 896.16.81 model includes an AC Line Distribution System that has 85,0000 amp symmetrical fault current, and a line impedance that is less than 5 percent.
