About the 896.15.91
The 896.15.91, which is also known by 75T4160, is a GV3000/SE AC Drive. Reliance Electric initially designed this drive although ABB or Baldor Reliance may have also sold it based on its production years.
The 896.15.91 has the ability to be able to flip-flop between vector and volts/hertz regulation. This drive is rated as 60-75HP with vector regulation and 100HP with the standard V/Hz regulation. This drive has an input of 100 KVA and 126A. It has an output rating of 116A @ 2 kHz, 93A @ 4kHz, and 70A @ 8kHz.
The 896.15.91 is surrounded by a type 1 NEMA chassis. It comes with a communications access flap that grants the user access to the RS-232 port on the regulator card without needing to disassemble the chassis. It has air vents on the front and sides of the chassis as well as circulation fans on the bottom to help protect the drive from overheating. This drive should be kept inside and not be used for outdoor applications. It does not have a drip/dust-tight chassis so, it should be kept from liquids, dust, and corrosive materials. There are brackets on the bottom and back of the chassis that can be used with washers and bolts to securely mount it vertically on to a flat panel. This drive should not be operated on the floor or horizontally.
There is a built-in keypad on the 896.15.91 that comes standard with the GV3000/SE version 6.06 series of drives. It has a display screen on the top left corner that is actually attached to the regulator board. There are 14 LED indicators below that that will glow to indicate the drive status and operating mode the drive is in.
