The 896.15.80 is a part of the GV3000/SE series of PWM AC drives. This drive is responsible for providing power and control to its assigned motors. When using its vector regulation for the motor, this device can handle a motor torque to zero speed that is full-rated, it can regulate the motor’s speed in both directions, and it can provide response times. It has the option of doing this using encoder feedback or not. When using the volts/hertz regulation this drive can handle a very wide array of functions that need adjustable speed control.
The 896.15.80 has an input of 50/60Hz, 380-460 VAC, and 119A. It has an output of 380-460 VAC, 0-200 Hz, 116A @ 2kHz V/Hz, and 89A @ 2kHz vector. It produces a 10-kA short circuit system rating.
This drive is covered by a type 1 NEMA chassis. This chassis has a small flap that has the ability to give a user access to the RS-232 port that’s on the regulator board. This chassis is not dust/drip-proof and should not be used for outside functions. This chassis should be kept away from combustible and corrosive substances. It is a larger model drive and has two large fans on its bottom. It has also has air vents in the sides and front panel that promote airflow to the internal drive modules and PCBs.
