About the 896.14.80
The 896.14.80 is a Reliance Electric GV3000/SE 50HP Drive. This drive may have also been produced by ABB or Baldor Reliance at one point. This drive may be found under the alternative part number 50V4160.
The 896.14.80 is in a NEMA 1 chassis that is only meant for indoor usage. It is not dust/drip-tight and has air vents on its bottom side. There are two exposed fans on the back of the drive that helps with air circulation. There are also mounting brackets that have 8 factory-drilled holes and two slots that should able to be used with washers and bolts to install it onto a metallic panel. This drive should just be mounted vertically and should not be installed horizontally or be operated on the floor.
The 896.14.80 has a keypad assembly that has a bracket on the back of it that is used for mounting the regulator PCB. The keypad has many features common to the GV3000/SE series of drives. On the left side of the keypad there is a display panel that shows the 4-digit 7-segment LED indicator that’s located on the regulator. There are 14 other LEDs that are directly below the display. Theses are labeled program, speed, password, running, reverse, volts, torque, remote, forward, amps, Kw, jog, auto, and Hz. There is a stop/reset and start button below the 14 LEDs. On the right side of the keypad are two arrow keys, an auto/man, enter, run/jog, forward/reverse, and program keys. There is a bracket on the backside of the keypad that can be used to mount the regulator board. This board slides into the brackets and should be positioned so that its RS-232 port and LED display are accessible.
