Product Description

The 896.09.80 is a 25 HP/18.7 Kw GV3000/SE Drive by Reliance Electric. It is entirely possible that ABB or Baldor Reliance mass-produced this drive at some point in the history of its production. This board is also known by the alternate part number 25V4160.

The 896.09.80 main function of this drive is to provide regulation and power to the motor it is attached to. It has the capacity to flip-flop between vector and the standard volts/hertz regulation. It is 380-460 VAC and 50/60 Hz. It maintains a 30.2 KVA rating and a 750W power loss wattage. It has an input of 30.2 amps and an output of 34.5 amps.

The 896.09.80 comes supported by a NEMA 1 style enclosure. Because it has air vents running along its sides and bottom, it should not be used in open-air applications. It should only be used in dry, clean environments because it is not drip/dust-tight. There is an external fan assembly on the back of this drive that is in between the mounting brackets. These fans provide airflow to the core internal circuitry. There is a small tab that gives the user access to an RS-232 port that is actually attached to the regulator board. There is a keypad assembly that is built into the chassis. The LED display on the keypad is connected to the regulator PCB. There is a mounting bracket that is attached to the back of the keypad that the regulator card can slide right into. The regulator should be arranged so that the LED display, the RS-232 port, and its terminal strip can be seen and accessed easily.
