The 896.06.80 is a 7.5 HP Drive from Reliance Electric. It may have also been sold by Baldor Reliance and/or ABB in the past depending on when its production dates were. The 896.06.80 is was created for the GV3000/SE series of drives. It is 380-460 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and 3-Phase. This drive is 10.7 KVA with an input amperage of 13.4A and output amperage of 11.1A at 2, 4, and 8 kHz. It maintains a 210-watt power loss (full load). The drive has dual-regulation capabilities with the ability to swap over from V/Hz to vector regulation; although not during operation of the drive.
The 896.06.80 is encased in a NEMA 1 kind of chassis. It should only be used in an indoor environment because it is not drip/dust-tight. It has air vents on it and a small flap that allows the operator to gain access to the RS-232 serial port that is on the regulator card. This drive should be installed onto a smooth metallic surface like a panel. It should not be mounted horizontally or be operated from the floor. There should also be plenty of space between this drive and any other equipment to ensure none of the equipment overheats. There are brackets on the drive that can be used along with bolts and washers to mount this drive onto the flat surface. The bolts and washers will ensure that the drive has a secure mounting.
