Product Description
Produced by Reliance Electric for the GV3000 series, the 896.05.70 model is one of the AC drives. This drive will operate on 5 HP and has an alternate part number that directly correlates with the horsepower on the drive. More commonly referred to as the US model number, the 5V4460 drive is just one of the alternate part numbers. The other part number is referred to as the GV3000 catalog number, this number is GV3000U-AC009-AF-DBT. The catalog number helps indicate what the typical motor power will be when the drive is being used in volts/hertz or regulator modes, occasionally the power of the motors will be different but in this case, the power is the same sitting at 4 kW.
There are many different inputs including input amps and input KVA (kilovolt-amperage), as well as outputs amps. For the 896.05.70 drive, there are three output amps carrier frequencies associated with the model, these are output amps at 2, 4, and 8 kHz; once again sometime the output will be different values but the values at each output carrier frequency, in this case, are all 8.2. The input amperage for this model is 9.9 A, with the KVA the input is 7.9 A.
There are two different manuals that are best suited for guiding the user on how the 896.05.70 operates, must be installed, etc. The first of the two manuals, which is the GV3000-UM060K-EN-P GV3000/SE AC General Purpose and Vector Drive Instruction Manual lists all of the cross reference parts, whereas the D2-3360-5 GV300/SE AC Drive Hardware Reference, Installation, and Troubleshooting Manual is best used for finding out fault codes, alarm codes, and how to fix them.
