The GV3000 series of products is a wide-spanning array of motor control AC drives. This series was developed as a line from Reliance Electric Ltd., and produced by their electromechanical division of manufacturing. The GV3000 line was designed for pulse-width modulated drive functionalities, based on both vector regulation as well as general purpose voltage/frequency regulation for a wide degree of applications.
Utilizing the vector regulation, the GV3000 AC drive is able to provide a high response capability, as well as maintain the controlled motor’s torque to zero speed, and it is able to control both the motor’s speed and direction with accurate precision.
This component part is designated as the 615187-1A communication cable. It is designed to be attached to the regulator board’s integrated RS-232 serial connection port. It’s main function is to allow the GV3000 drive to be able to communicate with external devices, like a personal computer, using the RS-232 protocols.
