This unit is a part of the GV3000 series of devices. This line was built as a set of motor control units and was outfitted with a series of varying specifications and hardware. These drives were manufactured and distributed by the electromechanical division of Reliance Electric LTD.
The GV3000 series of drives are able to handle both simple and complex motor systems. This includes the motors in pump modules and basic fan units, and then with the most complex options, are able to provide the management and regulation of motors in a web processor system. The series overall is able to offer a set of three operating modes to differentiate in the parameter adjustment. The general-purpose mode is the scalar voltage/frequency control, and then the two vector-based modes. The flux vector control allows the encoder feedback signal to be accepted and processed, while the other, sensorless vector control, does not.
This unit is listed as the 56940-601, and it is not a full GV3000 drive, but rather an internal, very necessary component part. It is designated as the unit’s Regulator Board, a printed circuit board that is able to regulate the power intake and distribution throughout the drive’s other PCB parts.
