This device is an AC Drive built as a part of the GV3000 Gate Driver Board series. This board is outfitted to operate as a component in the 200 to 400 horsepower, cabinet style AC Drives. These devices were all designed and produced by Reliance Electric Limited, as units from their electromechanical division. They are all now available from us here at AX Control Inc. as a part of our used inventory.
The 0-56956-1 gate driver board is built as an integral component for the GV3000 AC Drive. It is responsible for the handling of the pulse width modulated vector waveform signals, first received from the Current Feedback board.
The 0-56956-1 comes equipped with a set of isolated driver modules. These modules are built to operate the insulated gate bi-polar transistor units, or IGBT units. When working together, these two modules produce a pulse-width modulated waveform. The output of the control loop corresponds to the speed (with flux vector control regulation) or the frequency (general purpose V/Hz regulation).
When repairing the GV3000 AC Drive’s components, ensure that the 0-56956-1 is rewired and/or replaced whenever the IGBT units are replaced as well, as the board will not sync up with the newly outfitted IGBT units.
The 0-56956-1 gate driver board physically appears as any other circuit board, with a green base board, and outfitted with a series of eight (8) white modules, the isolated driver units.
The 0-56956-1 is available from our inventory, and each unit in stock has been completely repaired and optimized by our on-site technicians.
