Product Description

The 0-56935-100 is a Current Feedback Printed Circuit Board for the GV3000 AC Drive series. It was originally made by Reliance Electric but was also probably sold by ABB and Baldor Reliance at one point. It has since been discontinued by all of these manufacturers and might have become hard to find. AX Control does attempt to keep the 0-56935-100 in stock as a new surplus or refurbished part.

The 0–56935–100 is specifically a replacement board for a 7.5-10 HP drive on a GV3000 or GV3000/SE series system. The current feedback board is located just behind the regulator card and its bottom CON 2 connection can be seen behind the regulator. The regulator card sends PWM gate signals to the current feedback card which then transmits those signals to drivers that are isolated on the gate driver board.

The 0-56935-100 has two pin connectors labeled CON 1 and CON 2 that are located on the top right and bottom left corners of the card. On the top left corner, there is another connector labeled CON 3. There are a total of 5 resistors, a cylinder aluminum electrolytic capacitor, two large blue capacitors, a ceramic capacitor, a diode, an inductor coil, a Zener diode, two jumpers that are both labeled 7.5 HP and 10 HP. The board is 6.5” long and 2.5” wide. It weighs right around 0.3 lbs.

The 0-56935-100 features Qty 2 LA25-NP current transducers mounted at CT2 and CT1. At J1 and J2 the board has a 3-pin jumper selection which allows the user to select whether the board is installed in a 7.5HP or 10HP drive. Finally, at CON3 there is a connector that allows the regulator board above (e.g. 0-56921-606) to connect to the current transducer. 

How would a user know if the current feedback board became defective or faulty?
If the current feedback board became defective or faulty the regulator board would not display a fault code as the LED would not come on during power-up. The 0-56935-100 is not a high failure rate component but should be checked during normal troubleshooting proceedures. 
Does the 0-56935-100 come in different revisions?

Yes, the most common revision for the current transducer is the D revision, displayed as 0-56935-100 D or 0-56935-100D. Earlier revisions were also made although compatibility between different revisions is generally allowed. 

If one of the connector pins becomes bent or broken will the board still function correctly?

With a bent pin connector, the board will not make suitable contact and will need to be replaced. A trained technician or engineer can desolder and replace the connection if a replacement is not an option (AX Control can provide this service).
